Monday.
A new week, a fresh start and, as always, another dollar waiting to find its way into the right hands.
There is something I quite enjoy about the beginning of a new week. Everyone else is talking about getting back to work, tackling the inbox, surviving Monday morning and counting down to Friday.
Me?
I’m thinking about what the week might bring.
Who will appear?
Who will surprise me?
Who will prove themselves?
And, perhaps most importantly, who will understand that being a good paypig isn’t simply about sending money when the mood takes you.
It’s about consistency.
It’s about knowing your place.
It’s about understanding that my attention is valuable and that access to me isn’t something you’re automatically entitled to.
A new week also means a clean slate for anyone who wants to step up.
Perhaps you’ve been watching quietly.
Perhaps you’ve been wondering whether you have what it takes.
Perhaps you’ve already decided that this is the week you stop thinking about it and actually do something about it.
There is always something rather amusing about watching a paypig start the week with good intentions.
The question is how long those intentions will last.
Will you still be obedient on Wednesday?
Will you still be generous on Friday?
Will you still be thinking about me when the weekend arrives?
Because anyone can make promises on a Monday.
It’s consistency that tells me everything I need to know.
So here’s to another week.
Another seven days of temptation, anticipation, generosity and discovery.
Another week of watching some paypigs rise to the occasion while others discover that being number one requires rather more than simply wanting the title.
And, of course…
Another day.
Another dollar.
